How Toolmivo merges PDF files
The tool opens the selected PDF documents in your browser and copies their pages into a new PDF. Files are processed in the order you arrange them, so the position of each source document determines where its pages appear in the final result.

Why PDF order matters before merging
Toolmivo combines complete PDF files in sequence. If one file contains five pages and another contains three pages, all five pages from the first file are added before the three pages from the second file. Arrange your source PDFs before clicking Merge PDFs so the finished document follows the intended reading order.

What is preserved
Does merging change the content of the PDF pages?
This merge workflow copies pages from the source PDFs into a new combined document. It does not intentionally rasterise every page in the way the Toolmivo Compress PDF tool does. That makes Merge PDF suitable when you simply need to join documents together without converting each page into an image first.
Important: complex PDF features can vary between files. If a document
contains unusual forms, embedded scripts, encryption or specialised interactive content,
check the merged output before relying on it as the only copy.
Password protection
Why password-protected PDFs can fail to merge
Encrypted PDFs may restrict access to their page content. If a source document requires a password or blocks modification, the browser library may not be able to read and copy its pages. In that case, unlock or remove the protection using the correct password before trying to merge the document.
Only remove PDF protection from files you are authorised to access and modify.
