How the duplicate removal options work
Case sensitive
When enabled, uppercase and lowercase differences matter. For example, Apple and apple are treated as different values.
Trim items
Removes unnecessary spaces from the beginning and end of each item before comparing it. This helps identify duplicates that only differ because of accidental spacing.
Remove empty lines
Deletes blank items from the result so copied lists are cleaner and easier to paste into another application.
Sort result
Sorts the cleaned list after duplicates have been removed. Leave sorting disabled when the original order is important.

Case sensitivity
Should duplicate matching be case sensitive?
Case sensitivity determines whether uppercase and lowercase versions of the same text are considered equal. If case sensitivity is disabled, values such as London, LONDON and london can be treated as duplicates. If it is enabled, each version can remain as a separate item. For general list cleanup, case-insensitive comparison is often convenient. For codes, identifiers or systems where letter case has meaning, case-sensitive comparison may be safer.

Original order
Preserve the original order or sort the result?
By default, duplicate removal is most useful when the first occurrence of each item stays in its original position. This is important for ordered lists, queues, imported records or data where the first appearance has meaning. Sorting can make a list easier to scan alphabetically, but it also changes the original sequence. Use the Sort result option only when order is not important.
